About me

My name is Anu Prinkkilä and I am the owner of Belltown Blackballet and her daughter Miyessa Adelinda.

I have loved dogs since I was four years old. Back then some friends of ours had a lovely bedlington terrier bitch called Gigi. As I never got a dog of my own as a child, I was eager to take care of every possible dog in the neighbourhood. I also worked in dog shows for some years.

As a teenager I was a member of many dog clubs of various breeds, and finally got a kerry blue terrier bitch, Merry Blue Unique, 1981. The next year came a black poodle bitch Joker's Here I Am, who was a daughter of two miniature poodles but was a dwarf poodle herself. I am also a big fan of afghans and salukis.

After some years without any dogs I decided to get a whippet, also hoping to get puppies some day. Belltown Blackballet, "Sara", is a little princess who has given birth to my very first Miyessa litter, a dream come true.
